Recently some hooligans performed thithi for Girish Karnad for their fifteen minutes of fame. Shame on them.  There is big portaits of kannada literary stalwarts in Kolar bus stand. Here you can find karnad among gaints like kuvempu, Masthi, Bendrae etc..

Tamil people have enriched kannad literary scene, glad I had very good kannada lecture during my college who revealed this to me. Masthi and T.P.Kailasam were tamilians but their literary work Kannada also Manirathnam did his first movie in Kannada, Puttana Kanagal did his first movie in Tamil (I have to verify Puttana’s stuff, wiki says otherwise).

Only insane persons invoke linguistic  chauvinism to gain some political momentum. It almost two weeks since they blacked out tamil channels of the air still there is no sign of when they will come to sense and sanity will prevail in Bangalore. Yesterday happend to see one vehicle whose registration plate carried “TN” was morphed by the owner to look like “KN”, that is height of paranoid people are living in Bangalore.

Bangalore is fast becoming an insecure place to live. It is a surprise that television channels like Times Now running a call in program, SMS program on sensitive issues like this one immediately after the tabling of the report. Why the hell do they have to ask questions which triggers hatredness to other community? Why do they need to sensationalise the news? Times Now just sucks.

Few questions ?

Do we need the television media to ask the opinion from people about Cauvery tribunal’s final verdict just after it being tabled?

Can common man comment on the document which contains 1000 pages with out even taking the look at it. Analysis comes only day after in the news paper.

Why do media need to have the SMS poll on sensitive issues like this. Surely the response is coming from biased sample.

Does Karnataka is entitle to get the major share of the natural resource like river because the origin is its territory ?

Why is Bangalore becoming such a intolerable place to live ?

Why do people spread rumors ?

Why target tamilians for cauvery verdict ?

What is the benefit of taking all tamil channels off the air ?

Why don’t people treat rivers as national resource ?

Why do news paper carry such a misleading headlines and trigger the fury of the people ?

Finally why do people give expert opinions when they lack the indepth knowledge?
